Planned release: 18 September 2026
About this version
This version focuses on user management: a client can now have several administrators – administration therefore no longer depends on a single person. In addition, the user interface is now also available in French, and retrieving the open orders in konfipaySign is considerably faster.
New
-
Several administrators per client: an administrator can grant the admin right to further users and revoke it again. The last remaining administrator is protected and cannot be downgraded, deactivated or deleted. Every change is documented in the activity log. Existing clients with a single administrator continue to work unchanged.

-
French as an interface language: alongside German and English, konfipay is now also available in French.
-
Language switch in the top navigation: the language is now changed via the globe icon at the top right – no longer in the user settings, whose tab is therefore renamed to “Display settings”.
-
Creator access when creating a sub-client: when creating a sub-client you now decide whether the creator receives no access to the new client or is added as an administrator. In the latter case they can manage the client straight away, without waiting for the owner's first login.

-
Instruction for the debtor agent: the cross-border payment form now offers an optional free-text field for an instruction to your own bank. It should only be filled in after agreeing it with your bank.

Improvements
-
Revised user view: administrators are now regular rows in the user table and are marked there as Admin. Above it, three figures show the client's users, administrators and open invitations – each with the share of guest users and as a jump into the correspondingly filtered list. A new filter in the toolbar additionally narrows the list down by role, invitation, authentication and status.

konfipaySign: faster retrieval of the open orders. The open orders are retrieved for all selected EBICS contacts in parallel instead of contact by contact; each result appears as soon as it is available. For clients with many EBICS contacts this shortens a retrieval run considerably.

Changes
-
Retention period for EBICS protocols: the protocol files retrieved from the bank – customer protocol (HAC), payment status (pain.002) and payee verification – were previously kept indefinitely. In future they can be viewed and downloaded for 120 days; after that the link to the file is removed. The information konfipay took from the protocol when reading it remains available permanently – the status history of a payment with timestamps, originator and signers, as well as the results of the payee verification. Once the period has elapsed, only this extracted information is available, no longer the original protocol.

Administrator management: the option of having several administrators per client brings two adjustments to previous rules. “Set as administrator” is replaced by “Grant admin right” and “Revoke admin right”; transferring the administration right from one person to another no longer applies. In addition, administrators can be deleted or deactivated as long as at least one other administrator remains – previously they could not be deleted at all.
