Switch transaction files to camt.053 from MT940
Account transactions can be provided by your bank in various formats. If you have previously received account transactions in MT940 format, you can use these instructions to switch to camt.053 format in konfipay.
Customize EBICS contact
First, you must configure the EBICS contact you use so that the camt.053 format is used for future transactions.
First, navigate to the EBICS contact management by clicking on Master data > EBICS in the navigation bar on the left. Select the EBICS contact you want to edit from the list and click on Business Transactions at the top of the toolbar. First, update the available business transactions for the EBICS contact by clicking on Refresh at the top.
Depending on the EBICS version used (EBICS 2.5 or EBICS 3.0), the further procedure differs slightly:
EBICS 3.0: Customize business transactions
In the business transaction management section, open the Download tab. Select Booked transactions from the list and click Edit in the toolbar at the top:

Then you can assign the order type for account transactions. First, remove the MT940 format by selecting Tagesauszüge (MT940) on the right and clicking on the single arrow pointing to the left:

Then add the camt.053 format by selecting Tagesauszüge (camt.053) on the left and clicking on the single arrow pointing to the right (you may need to scroll down the left window until you find the correct format):

Confirm the action by clicking Save in the lower right corner.
If the relevant business transaction is not displayed here despite updating the business transactions, you may need to explicitly request camt.053 from your bank. Please contact your bank representative for assistance.
EBICS 2.5: Customize order types
In the business transaction management section, open the Download tab. Select Booked transactions from the list and click Edit in the toolbar at the top:

Then you can assign the order type for account transactions. First, remove the MT940 format by selecting STA on the right and clicking on the single arrow pointing to the left:

Then add the camt.053 format by selecting C53 on the left and clicking on the single arrow pointing to the right:

Confirm the action by clicking Save in the lower right corner.
If the relevant business transaction is not displayed here despite updating the business transactions, you may need to explicitly request camt.053 from your bank. Please contact your bank representative for assistance.
Check retrieved transaction files
Once you have adjusted the EBICS contact configuration accordingly, check the retrieved account transaction files to see if the changeover was successful.
First, navigate to the account transactions by clicking Account Information > Account Transactions in the navigation bar on the left. Select the relevant bank account from the list and switch the view at the top of the window to File View:

Then check the Type column in the most recently retrieved account transaction files. It should now say C53.
No camt.053 files received?
If no camt.053 files can be found in the account transaction files, check the EBICS communication log to see whether communication with the bank was successful from a technical standpoint.
First, navigate to the communication log by clicking on Master data > EBICS in the navigation bar on the left. Select the relevant EBICS contact from the list and click on Protocols in the toolbar, then on Communication protocol.
There, communication is logged separately for each order type, including the camt.053 format. If communication was successful but the bank has reported that no camt.053 files are available, contact your bank representative again and ask them to provide camt.053 files.
