EBICS (EN)
Here you will find all of your client's EBICS contacts. These contacts are required to submit payments and direct debit files via EBICS and in order to fetch transactions.

Set up EBICS contact
We have a separate page with detailed instructions for setting up an EBICS contact, which you can find here here. Please note that you do not need to set up an EBICS contact if you only plan to make payments via the SRZ process - then you only have to select the Set up bank accounts for SRZ.
Exporting and importing EBICS contacts
You can export an EBICS contact that has been set up and import it again in another client, saving you the time-consuming setup process.
The export and import of EBICS contacts often also works across the windata product range - i.e. if you use an EBICS contact that is already set up in other windata products such as windata professional or VEU-Portal, you can also import it into konfipay if necessary.
We provide separate instructions for exporting and importing EBICS contacts in konfipay, which you can find here.
Edit EBICS contact
You can change the stored data of an EBICS contact even after it has been created by selecting the EBICS contact in the list and clicking on Edit
in the toolbar at the top. Be sure to only change connection data in consultation with your bank.

Order types
Many different order types are available for the transfer of files via EBICS. To manage these order types for an EBICS contact in konfipay, select the EBICS contact in the list and click on Order types
. Here you will find a separate article with explanations of the EBICS order types and their management in konfipay.
Bank accounts
If bank accounts are assigned to an EBICS contact, all payment files for these bank accounts are transferred via the assigned EBICS contact. The bank account assignment is irrelevant for the file retrieval, e.g. for account transactions, because the bank always provides the transactions that are stored for the corresponding EBICS contact.
The assignment of bank accounts to EBICS contacts is usually carried out automatically by konfipay by retrieving the account list (HTD file). To see which bank accounts are assigned to an EBICS contact, select the EBICS contact in the list and click on Bank accounts
:

With one click on Synchronize
, konfipay retrieves the HTD file from the bank again and automatically reassigns all accounts from the account list to the EBICS contact. You can call up the identifiers of the selected bank account via Identifiers
- here you can find more information about identifiers.
Manually assign bank account to EBICS contact
You can assign additional bank accounts to an EBICS contact by selecting the account in the drop-down list below the toolbar and then clicking on Add
. If the desired account is not displayed in the drop-down list, this may be because it is already assigned to another EBICS contact. In that case, uncheck the box "Only bank accounts without EBICS assignment" to also display all other accounts in the drop-down list.
To cancel the assignment of a bank account to an EBICS contact, select the bank account in the list and click on Unassign
- then the account disappears from the list and payment files for the account are transferred via the SRZ procedure (windata as service data center) instead.
Fix bank account to EBICS contact
Fixing a bank account to an EBICS contact prevents the automatic assignment of a bank account to another EBICS contact based on the account list (HTD file) provided by the bank. This automatic assignment by konfipay takes place every night.
If a bank account could therefore be accessed via different EBICS accesses and is contained in the HTD file of different EBICS contacts, the automatic reassignment to another contact can be prevented via fixing the account to a specific EBICS contact. This is done by clicking Fixate
or Release fixation
respectively. This setting can be changed in the toolbar.
Communication
Select an EBICS contact from the list and click on Communication
to display a detailed log of the EBICS communication of this contact. All upload and download operations are documented with timestamp, order type and EBICS response code.
You can also display the text of the EBICS request and the EBICS response and download them if required by selecting an entry and then clicking on Message
resp. Reply message
click.
Protocols
If you select an EBICS contact in the list and click on Protocols
you will see all the HAC logs received for this EBICS contact. HAC logs contain information on the processing status of payments.
The assignment of a HAC protocol to the corresponding payment works via the order number, which is a four-digit combination of letters and numbers. You can also filter the HAC logs by this order number.
In the overview, you can see how many of the payments belonging to the HAC protocol have been accepted or rejected. You can see the individual transfer steps for each payment order via entries. You can display and download the original HAC log by selecting an entry and clicking on File
.
