Guest user

Info

General information

A user is considered a guest user (or guest), if it acts outside its main client. Access to a client must be granted by an authorized user of the respective client. Access can therefore only take place after an accepted invitation.

Guest users are likewise subject to the permissions of user groups as any other user (except administrators). When inviting a user, the user group is guest is preselected as the recommended user group. This gives limited rights to the invited user. However, any other user group can be assigned.

Invite a guest user

The invitation of guest users takes place via their e-mail address. In addition, a user group must be assigned for the invited user.

Invitation of a guest user

The invited user is informed via e-mail that he has been invited as a guest to your client. The email contains a link to the konfipay portal. However, this is not necessarily required to accept the invitation. The acceptance (or rejection) of the invitation can also be done via the user profile.

Accepting the invitation as a guest via the user profile

Guest user management

Once the invitation is accepted, the user is listed as a guest in the client's users. Unlike regular users, guest users cannot be managed by the administrator. A guest user can only be assigned additional user groups or removed from the client.

When removed, the guest user immediately loses access to the client. At the same time, he will be removed from all user groups in which the guest user is stored as a member.

Identification and management options for guest users

Switching client as guest user

Users who have been invited as guests to other clients can dynamically switch between the main client and all clients with guest access. Switching to another client changes the dataset that the user is currently accessing. The client change is documented here.

Guest user log

The guest user log provides an overview of all entries and exits of guest users in the client. It is also visible who created the invitation. This serves for better traceability of user accesses and departures.
